Just got back from a great weekend at Into the Great Wide Open festival! It’s an amazing festival that’s held each year on the island of Vlieland. There are stages all over the island so you might find yourself getting lost in the woods having just seen Angel Olson and trying to get to Reggie Watts over at the lighthouse.

I got off the boat thursday night and went straight to the “Forest stage” to play a show with two fantastic songwriters Tim Knol and Maurits Westerik.

I was on the same stage the next night with Tsjebbe Hettinga, an amazing poet from Friesland, the Netherlands. Both of us did a version of “Dorp aan Zee” by Jacob Slauerhoff.

The photo above is of Tsjebbe and I and was made by Joyce Moes.
